Default Control an IGBT with a PLC

Hi,

I am new in this forum, I have been working in industry as process control engineer for 18 years, and now I have decided to go back to college to do a PhD. I am currently working on a project involving High Voltage (3*380VAC).
I generate power from an AC 3 phase motors being coupled shaft to shaft from the same type of AC motor which is itself powered from 220 mono trough a VSD outputing 3*380VAC 0-200Hz.
I basically want to control the output of my "generator" (as you probably guessed, I want to simulate a wind turbine).
Everything should work OK , My 3 phase AC generated will be rectified by a 3 phase bridge to give me 380 VDC.

Now, I would like to recreate my 3*380VAC from the DC one, and I think that an IGBT would be the best way (eg SK60GAL123 from RS). I would like ideally to control the IGBT from a PLC (preferably a trio from National Instrument, but any other brand suits me fine).
Would any body have some pointers which would help me to carry out the control...

Thanks
