Default Note to Self on Powerflex 700s

When commissioning drive always check that the thermistor has not been connected across the external brake resister terminals. The flames are pretty but they can be quite hard to put out.

Another thing to double check is that the brake resistors are not connected directly to the DC bus! The resistors will warm up and when you finally realise that something is burning it's to late. Strangely the drive(powerflex 700) still appeared to function normally, even displaying that it was outputting hz and voltage, but nothing was actually leaving the drive..
