I can tell you what I've learned on how _not_ to find a mate ... When I
was at an engineering college halloween party (some years past), there
was a cute redhead (one of my students) dressed as a 741 opamp. You
know, cardboard, alum foil, and a "741" across the chest. In one of
those irretractable moments, I asked her what her input resistance was.
I take it the lesson, then, is "Don't hit on your students"?
|
Nope. That was hardly an attempt. Certainly not the first time I've
opened mouth and inserted foot, though.

I hope it was taken just as a very witty comment...
I went to a Halloween Party with a huge meat cleaver embedded in my head.
A fake cardboard & tinfoil one, with a head-shaped cut-out in the blade.
It went down well - "hey - nice idea!".
It was good for gags like saying
"I can tell you're impressed by the size of my chopper"
to one girl and
"Magnificent cleavage eh, miss?"
to a gorgeous girl who coincidentally had...
well, you get the idea.

No worries. If it's a PIC and 8051, they're already morphodites. ;-)

Besides, if you've got a good ARM you don't need a mate.

If she was offended, you could have told her to be a TL071 instead. That
would avoid any doubt.

I suppose it all depends. Are we talking MIL Spec, RF, twist-lock power,
or what?
Some people are RJ-11 sized while some of us are 60 amp 3 phase, 4 wire.
