Default Geometry Problem with Sony Multiscan CPD 200ES

Can anyone help me with a problem I am having with my monitor?

Sometimes when I highlight multiple lines on the screen (as if I were
selecting multiple files in windows) the sides of the screen pinch in.
Sometimes I can power cycle the monitor and it corrects the most
extreme distortion, but it always pinches in slightly on the darker
highlighting on a light background.

For example:

white background, dark gray hilighting, select multiple lines in
Agent, the screen edges distort inward with the more lines selected,
resulting in wavy, distorted window edges.

Is this some sort of power problem?

TM

The HV, or secondary supply in the monitor is having some regulation
problems that is effecting the pin amp section, or the scan amplifiers.
You will have to give the monitor in for service. Unless you are
properly trained, and want to invest in the service manual, and also
have the facilities to work on this, you would not be able to service
this yourself.
