Default RPI when using ethernet drives.

I have a lot of ethernet drives connected to an en2t 5000 logix card. As default the software sets each drive to an RPI of 5 milliseconds. Obviously this aint no good situation to be in. I wonder what should I really use. The situation is non critical. Also should the RPIS be staggered to reduce demand on the IP network and make sure I still have full stack scheduler compliance.

It depends on what you are doing with the drives and how quick you need them to stop or respond. on a job with 12 drives controlling a mixture of fans and conveyors I used 150msec but on similar setups with more drives when response is not critical I would probably try up to 250msec. I would not bother staggering unless you have gazillions of drives
